Eagle Repair: Eagle Talon Water Pump, eagle talon tsi, 1995 eagle talon

Dear Wayne,
I have just learned that my 1995 Eagle Talon TSI needs a new water pump.  I am a very capable Mechanical Engineer and I am wondering if it is possible for me to replace this part myself.  I.E.- Is the water pump installation somewhat straight forward regarding attachment hoses and wires? If so, is there a book which I can buy to refer to the engine schematics?

Sorry about the delay in my reply, firstly the replacement of the water is pretty straight forward, when you get to it. It is quite a mission to get to the water pump as it sit under the timing belt cover on the pulley side of the engine. The best manual to buy would be the Haynes manual for your year and model. The job can be done but will take some time and much frustration.
