QuestionQUESTION: 2001 Ford F150 was stolen and ignition was tampered with. Truck will turn over with key but not start. Fuel pump will not come on. Is there anyway to reset the theft deterrent system? If not what do I need to do to repair it?? Thank You

if it is you have a problem with the passlock transponder in ignition.
you say that some one tampered with it, did they remove the ignition, do you still have your keys?

QUESTION: Yes the theft light is blinking on dash, but no they did not remove ignition looks like tried to stick screw driver in it and yes I still have key it will turn over with key but not start. Will a remote starter with bypass start it or what else could I do
Answerwho ever used the screwdriver might of accidently smashed the transponder ring. that's why your key doesn't read correctly. unfortunately the only way to fix this is get a new transceiver ring and get it programmed by either a locksmith or a dealer which will cost around 175.00 .there is no way to by pass this trust me I tried, and I am very good.
look around the ignition key area and take off the upper and lower ignition key cover, look for and disconnected wires it might just of came loose, let me know what you find
