Ford Repair: EXPLORER RUNS ROUGH, pcv valve, motorcraft spark plugs

Hi, hopefullly you can figure this one out, when I first start my 98 explorer in the morning it runs rough, especially noticable when I go in reverse. There was a total tune up done on the truck
several months ago, the fuel filter, air filter, PCV valve was changed, and supposedly the plugs and wires. Do you have any idea what the problem could be, this truck has the 6 cylinder DOHC
motor  -

Please help, this has me baffled

ANSWER: does it smooth out after it warms up ?? if so how quickly or does it still run rough just a little better. do you notice it skips accelerating and is your check engine light on ??

Hi, once the Explorer warms up there is still a slight miss, the miss is not constant and the check engine light does not come on -

couple recommendations for you to check. First, were motorcraft spark plugs installed ? This engine is very susceptible to miss fires if non factory plugs are installed also, it sounds like the plug wires are arcing out. Be sure they were changed. My guess is, the combination of the two are causing your concern
