Ford Repair: 2002 Mountaineer Engine Light, home mechanics, dpfe sensor

Question
I have a 4.0 6 cyl Mountaineer..the non-flex fuel model. It runs great and always has, however a couple months ago the engine light came on..it showed code for sensor 1 bank 2. I had it replaced..then it came on again and showed code for bank 2..replaced that one too. The code was cleared and came back on...I replaced all plugs with Motorcraft, and the PCV valve too.

Once I got a code showing PO for MAF sensor so I replaced that too.
Today I cleared the lights, and drove 200 miles,,,after I thought it was fixed...the light came back on. There are no manifold leaks or anything....runs like a top, but I need to get it fixed for sure... Is the DPFE sensor a possibility or what do you think>>? I have my own code reader and fairly good at home mechanics...any help is appreciated.

It has always been kept in top shape, good gas and injector cleaner run about every 2 months.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

Answer
the dpfe sensor is possible as when it shorts out can cause other problems but, with this engine, i'd be looking for a vacuum leak. most common concern is from the pcv tube. if your looking at the engine on the left side. note where the air intake tube from where the air cleaner hose meets the engine, just to the left of that you will see a rubber hose about 4" long about 3/4' in diameter that connects to a plastic tube that will collapse and have a small crack in it. check this and bet back to me.
