Ford: Front Wheel Bearing, auto hubs, center hub

QUESTION: I have a 1988 F-350 pickup that has a noise that sounds like a front wheel bearing is no good.  How do I go about repairing these bearings?  It is a 4 wheel drive.

a haynes manual or similar would do best

ok. I'll try my best.

with wheel off and vehicle supported.

remover the center hub.

remove spring clip and using special socket, remover the bearing nuts.
remove rotor and hub assembly.


replace in reverse order,

don't put grease in locking hub as it may prevent hubs from fully engaging.
