QUESTION: I do not have a high side reading. Actually, my low side reading is about 60. It is about 104 today. I read on the Internet in several places that people with the same problem fixed it with freon. Although I was reluctant due to the reading, I added one can and it actually helped a little. It is up to 70 psi though. I can not here the compressor cycling on and off at all.

Answer
if you added freon and it helped, it is entirely possible the system is just low.  a reading of 70 psi is not completely abnormal. maybe try another half can. don't be afraid of an over charge. if the system pressure gets too high. the relief valve will blow off the excess. without a high side reading, i'm trying help by trial and error.
