Ford Repair: fuel pumps, fuel pumps, fuel pump

Hello my truck just stopped running while I was driving I have been told it has 2 tanks and 2 pumps how would I know which fuel pump went out and is there anyway to find out if it is a relay or something else oh and I used to be able to hear it running  but not now     please help   thanks teresa

the pump switches by the switch located in the pass compartment ( i assume you have a switch to change tanks ? " switch to the front tank and listen and see if it starts repeat for the rear. if your still having that problem there is a relay located under the hood in the fuse compartment. replace or switch it and get back to me
