Ford Repair: 92 Ford e250 horn, ford e250, fuse panel

Question
QUESTION: Hi Brian,
a horn isn't working.
1992 E-250, I have checked the fuse in the power distribution box and checked the horn by connecting it directly to the battery, all good.
The wire connected to the horn has no power, what else I could check? Thanks.

ANSWER: first thing you need to do is put a test light at the horn connector and have someone push the horn and check for power if there is none then replaced the horn pad

QUESTION: I failed to mention that I already did the test you suggested, by the horn pad you mean the buttons in the steering wheel? Thanks.

Answer
so, i'm assuming you have no power to the connector when the horn pad is pushed ?? that leaves two possibilities. in the fuse panel i believe under the hood there is a relay for the horn, swap it with another relay in the box. if that doesnt work and this vehicle is equipped with a driver's side air bag, replace the clock spring
