Ford Repair: CD Error, 2008 ford taurus, sync function

Question
QUESTION: I changed the battery on a 2008 Ford Taurus.  Now there is a "CD Error" message, the bluetooth will not link and the "health check" will not link [or otherwise work].    The radio works fine.  When any door is opened the cd player will search for a disc even with the radio off and no key in the ignition.  This is before entering the auto, I can stand there and watch it do that.  Then it will show "Disc Error". There are no disc's in the changer. Any idea how to fix this.  There is no password protection to be addressed on the radio.  No mention of it in the owners manuel.  Thanks.

ANSWER: first thing i want you to try is to disconnect the battery again, only the negative terminal for 10 minutes. reconnect it and get back to me.

Answer
you are going to need to bring the vehicle to the dealer. have them reference tsb 09-14-3. You will need the have the A.P.I.M.  ( the module that controls SYNC function ) reprogrammed. This tsb applies when there has been a battery connect/reconnect or replacement and/or sometimes the module will actually cause a battery draw. reprogramming it fixes these issues. pretty sure you can google this tsb number too.
