Ford Repair: Intake Gasket and Brakes, vacuum line, 2006 f 150

Question
Hello,

2 weeks ago my vacuum assist line broke on my 2006 f-150.  This left with manual braking for some time.  After the line was replaced I was told that the intake gasket was bad also.  Now that these are both repaired, my brake pedal is VERY soft.  The brakes ingage very intensely once they actually do.  Will this correct itself with further driving.  I have only driven it 4 miles since the repair.  Thanks for your time.

Answer
which engine is in this vehicle ??? 6 or 8 cyl.  you shouldn't still have a soft pedal. it was not uncommon for the brake pads to get stuck in the slides they sit in. you may want to have the front brakes removed and have the pads checked to be sure they are moving freely. if this is an 8 cylinder and it was the vacuum line on the back of the engine that came of/broke. there was a recall for this concern. if the line is not replaced with the proper size, it can also cause this concern
