Ford Repair: Cranking But Wont Start, amp fuse, inertia switch

98 Explorer anti theft blinks every 2 seconds without key inserted and with the key inserted, but when cranking the car over the light goes out and it cranks,but never starts.

first check and be sure the inertia switch for the fuel isn't tripped. second, open the hood, there will be a 20 amp fuse for the fuel pump. be sure it isn't blown ( check them all with a test light. last, have someone turn the key on from off to run and stand at the rear of the vehicle and see if you can hear the fuel pump come on
