QUESTION: Have a 2000 Ford Winstar and the security light is flashing. How do I reset this?

ANSWER: you cannot reset the theft light, couple questions. one, does the vehicle start and run fine but the light is on or is the theft light flashing and the vehicle won't start

o.k. if you have both the original keys and the vehicle won't start. sit in the vehicle/. where your left foot would be there is a module called the F.E.M. ( front control module ) unplug it, should have 2 or 3 connectors going to it. disconnect battery then reassemble.. if the vehicle does not restart, you will need a new instrument cluster which is where the P.A.T.S system gets it's logic...
