Ford Repair: Ford=Found on road dead, fuel injector cleaner, rush hour traffic

Question
Hey Sam
I have a '98 Contour that likes to die on me when driving. I could be on the highway or rush hour traffic when it decides to do so, car just dies with no warning. It's acting like it's getting no fuel (has gas in it) but I can hear the fuel pump when I try to turn it over. It doesn't seem to be an electrical issue as the car turns over (lights work etc.) breifly but dies. On the 2 occassions this has happened, I waited an hour, started her up and it was fine, acted like nothing happened. The only thing I can think of is maybe a vaccuum leak somewhere? I noticed recently the flex pipe is in rough shape and needs to be replaced. Could this be the problem?

Answer
I am not sure what is the problem, it seems that it happens when the car gets a bit warm.  Hence, it does stop while sitting in traffic or idling for a period of time.  Maybe the vacuum hose needs replacement.  Basic things I would look to do are, replace fuel filter, use fuel injector cleaner.
