Ford Repair: Ford Ranger check engine light

Hi there, I have a 98 Ford Ranger and recently the check engine light came on and has a rough idle. I check all fluid levels and they are good. Any ideas? Thanks

Hello Ben, Check engine light is it amber in color ? If so it is computer related. To find out whats wrong you'll need to get the codes retrieved from the vehicle computer and then pinpoint the codes to determine why the light is coming on. Then you determine a procee to repair your vehicle.  Hope this helps Thanks Tony
