Ford Repair: compass error, 2003 ford windstar, compass error

Question
I have an 2003 ford windstar limited edition V6 3.8 liter. I replaced my battery a couple months ago, and when it was hooked it up the compass error came up. I tried to do what the manual said to do. I set the region to 8 since I live in Illinois and drove in a circle about 3mph at least three or four times and it still didn't work.

Hello Peggy, The compass calibration reset is very picky on procedure and the directions are a little hard to understand. Give it another try , If you can't get it look up the nearest ford dealer to you and send me the number and I'll call the service manager to help you out. Thanks Tony
