Ford Repair: Retainng water, rear quarter panels, water leaks

Question
I have a 2001 Mustang convertible. I can now hear water sloshing from somewhere in the back of the vehicle as I make a turn but cannot locate the source.  Trunk carpet feels a bit damp but sounds appears to be coming from under the back passenger seat. Is there a drain plug somewhere I should be checking? I cannot seem to find one.
Living in Florida we get torrential rainstorms....
Thank you!

Answer
Hi Maryellen,

On your 2001 Mustang,

1) The rocker drains located below the quarter panel, where your quarter windows sit could be blocked with debris and not allowing them to function. The rocker panels would fill with water.

2) The rear quarter panels could be filling with water below your tail lights. This would be caused by a wheel well seam leak.

3) Your rear window could be seperated from its fabric seam allowing water to pass between the two. This would require a top shop to remove the rear window glass and reset it.
