Ford Repair: ford ranger, temp gauge, thermastat

Question
Got a 2000 Ford Ranger that the heat didnt work or the temp gauge so i thought the thermastat might be stuck so i replaced it and the temp gauge works fine but still no heat any suggestions

Answer
Hello Cliff, Check the heater hoses to make sure both are getting hot, some rangers also have a water control valve on the inlet heater hose for the heater core, it could be bad. If one hose is hot and the warm or cool then there is a restriction in the heater core. Thanks Tony
