Ford Repair: 2000 V6 Ford Mustang Fuel Problem, inertia switch, ford mustang

Question
QUESTION: My car was running fine until I came out of work one night and it would crank but it would not turn over. So I cranked it about 15 times and it finally started. It drove home fine then I cut it off and it has not started since. I put starter fluid in the intake and when I cranked it would pick up so I thought my fuel pump was out. I changed it and still nothing. The impact switch button in the trunk is depressed. So my question is what else could be my problem and where should I start. Thanks

ANSWER: The problem is definitely fuel related, but you already knew that. Have you replaced the fuel filter yet?

QUESTION: Yes I changed the fuel filter when I changed the pump. Any other ideas? Thanks.

Answer
Given that you changed the fuel pump, check to make sure that you have voltage going to the pump. My guess is that you don't. Two thing to look at would be the inertia switch, and the ignition switch. Given that you looked at the inertia switch, go with the latter. However, take a voltage meter to the inertia switch to make sure even though it is not tripped, that it is working correctly.
