Ford Repair: Power Mirror Replacement, power mirror, side mirror

I have a 2000 ford f250 4 x 4 diesel 7.3L.  I am trying to replace the whole assy of passenger side mirror.  After getting the mirror almost off, i cannot find a way to disconnect the power cable, and the replacement part looks a little different.  Can you help me?

Depending on which side the mirror is on, the connection could be behind the dash. This would require removing the dash to get to the connector. If the part looks different, it probably is. There are so many variations in your mirror, manual, towing package, heated, etc.
