Ford Repair: ford/windstr/intake+vacum valves, o2 sensors, ring gaskets

Hi Tony I am in a bind..own 2001 windstar 3.8 live in MASS. got rejection on emissions and have 3 codes, 2 intake manifold valves 1 vacum code and estimates 0f $ 800-1000.00 to fix and pass emissions. 105k miles . any thoughts? is this a big/labor job? this van run fine and I always service it but 2 yrs ago paid 440.00 for o2 sensors (another sticker problem) . NOW another rejection...thanks, Jerry

Hello Jerry, I would guess that the o ring gaskets that are between the 2 piece intake need to be replaced. Those are probably the the 3 codes. The estimate numbers are about in the area for price, does take about 3/4 of a day to repair. Without knowing the particulars that is my best guess. Thanks Tony
