Ford Repair: electrical, digital speedometer, columm

QUESTION: I have a 1995 windstar...power windows,digital speedometer, wipers, and dashlights just went out and wont come back on.

ANSWER: what about your blower motor-possibly bad ignition switch-try wiggling the key while in run position and see if anything starts working.
check fuses also.

QUESTION: blower motor does work - fuse 19 was blowen and when changed put interior lights back on for 2 or 3 seconds then blew again with a burning plastic odor

look under dash around left side of steering columm for burnt or pinched wire-fuse 19 is feed for gem module and instrument cluster-if you can reach gem module under dash left of steering column and it will probably say gem or generic module on it-unplug it and replacc fuse again if it blows its a short in or around cluster area. if not it is something gem controls.
