Ford Repair: 2001 grand marquis no start, inertia switch, grand marquis

Question
hello , my name is justin i've got a 4.6 with no fuel pressure has injector pulse inertia switch is good and there is no codes.  is the pump a common issue in these cars and is there any other common issues that shut down the pump?

Answer
i wouldn't say pump is common issue but they do go bad-check for power and ground at the pump when you first turn key on you should have a 2 second prime-if you have power and ground then you probably have a bad pump-if not a relay is more likely. good luck

I really don't know what else on this you want-your question was is the pump a common issue-and the answer is no-you told me the fuel injectors work and the inertia switch is ok so i take it you have some diagnostic ability so the next step is to check your power and ground supply at the pump there is no need for anything deeper at this point check this and if you do not have power and ground at the pump then get back with me and i'll go further with you but you need to check this next.

there is no need to worry about what you are going to put on your sandwich if you don't have any bread. check your pump and holler back.
