Ford Repair: 93 Ford Ranger, ford ranger, test light

Question
I have a 93 ford ranger 2 wheel drive, 5 spd, 4 cylinder, pickup that runs but when you go to drive it it dies cause it don't have power to make itself move.  It acts as if its not getting enough gas.  The fuel pump and filter have both been replaced.  I took it to a shop to see what they thought and they said the computer wasn't reading correctly.  Before I go and buy a computer for it I was wondering if the computer could be my problem? I appreciate any help or suggestions that you may have for me. Thank You, Amanda

Answer
First I would like to apologize for not getting back to you sooner. I had some families issues that required attention and was away from my computer for a few days. Amanda, there are a couple of reasons that the readings could have been. Print a copy of the picture on this website along with the instructions. http://www.extreme-check-engine-light-codes.com/Ford%20OBD1%20Decoder.htm  If the check engine light, nor the test light blinks, you need a computer. I hope this helps.
