Ford Repair: ABS, broken tone, luck chris

Hi,
A general question for you. When the "ABS" light and "traction control off" lights come on and off intermittently, what is most commonly the problem? Lately the ABS has been kicking on, on dry road when I take off or slow down. Then other times it doesn't. The lights come on with this happening frequently and go off frequently also. I do not have a scanner for ABS. Can you give me some ideas what to look for/at?

hey there.
this sounds like a common problem. you didnt inform me of what type of vehicle this is, but with the concern you have it sounds like you have a broken tone ring, the tone ring is at the end of the drive shafts, and if there is a crak in them they will give a faulty signal, check these rings and let me know if one is split, good luck
