Ford Repair: mustang charging problem, bump in the road, luck chris

Question
Hi Chris
I have a 92 mustang 5.0. I have just driven from Tulsa to central Texas with no problem. However, now that I'm here, my car has stopped charging. I noted some other questions about this issue and I will follow up but my concern is that when I hit a bump in the road, it will stop charging and I hit another good bump, it will start again. I realize this indicates something loose but I'm having problems isolating it. I somewhat suspect the pigtails but I can't duplicate the problem while it is sitting still. The alternator was just tested a week ago and passed. For grins I will pull it and have it tested again. I'm at my wits end chasing down this gremlin. Thanks.......Scott

Answer
hey there, the only way to chase this down is to have the engine running with a meter on the battery, and tug and wiggle on wires while the engine is running, when you find the right connection, the voltage wil drop off with a wiggle, do this till you find that gremlin, good luck
