Ford Repair: engine code info label on a 460 1988 EFI, e7te, ford 460

Hello, I need for import reasons in Europe the engine code label of a FORD 460 1988 EFI engine. I found the following:
E7TE 17K 055A  (THE LAST 5 CAN ALSO BE A 6). This was stamped on a rear bracket.  Is this the engine code? Kind regards Frank

The stamp you need is not going to be on any bracket, that is for certain. There are a few places to look for numbers which will give them the engine ID. The first is on the intake. If I am correct, look for the numbers on the block itself, close to the starter. You may need to spray the area with degreaser to get a clear look.
