Ford Repair: Radio on 1994 Ford Ranger, factory radio, ford ranger

Question
I have a 1994 Ford Ranger PK and the radio suddenly stopped playing about 2 weeks ago. The radio comes on as normal but there is no sound.
I checked the fuses but all seem to be OK.
I would appreciate your help in this matter.

Answer
hey there. there are only two reasons that this could have happened. 1st would be an internal fault with the radio itself, which is the most common problem, the second is a short in a speaker or wiring to a speaker, if it is shorted then that will believe it or not cut out ALL sound, but it will more then likly be a problem with the radio unless aftermarket speakers have been installed, for the price of a radio from ford, it will not be worth installing a factory radio. so you can either go wit an aftermarket CD player for a reasonable price, or get  another radio from a lpcal recking yard. hope this helps.
