Ford Repair: Hyundai Lantra Headlights, hyundai lantra, apoxy

Question
Hi I have a 1997 Hyundai Lantra S/W and my question is the Headlights do not have a very good range.I replaced the bulbs with 90/100W however this really has not helped much.I noticed inside the units that the sleeve reflector around the bulb is Dull metal and not reflective Could this be the issue????

Answer
hi there. the only part that has to be refelctive is the back wall of the headlamp assembly. how are the plastic lense's if they are "sand blasted"or "discoloured" you are going to loose alot of light from that. they do sell head light lense restoration kits. They run about 20 dollars and they work very well. it involves sanding in a compound at 3 different stages and when done, you  applying an apoxy provided to the lense's ( just like a clear coat) if done properly they turn out almost like new.
