Ford Repair: 1979 lincoln continental, vacuum leaks, correct screw

Question
My lincoln will not stay running when I pull my foot off of the gas. Is ther a way to adjust the idle?

Answer
first look for vacuum leaks-the idle can be adjusted but if you don't know how you really need a manual for directions-keep in mind there are a lot of things that cause vehicles not to idle that you don't fix by turning up the idle screw. the reason you need a manual is it will have a picture showing the correct screw because if you turn the wrong one you will mess up choke or fast idle. good luck,
