Ford Repair: Cruise Control Switch, steering wheel, cruise control

Question
My cruise control switch, on my 99 Ford Explorer has to be replaced. This one is on the right side of the steering wheel, (RSM, Set Accel, Coast). It still functions but won't stay affixed onto the wheel.
I removed the old one which was broken at the two screws which hold it onto the steering wheel. I had great difficulty trying to hold up the horn cover so as to remove the screws. Can the cover be removed for easier installment of the new switch?

Answer
Hello Patrick, If memory serves correct, removal of the air bag gives full access to the screws, there are access holes on each side of the steering wheel where there are bolts. Then the air bag will lift out. Be careful with the air bag and do not have a drop light close to it.
Hope this helps Thanks Tony
