Ford Repair: Brakes, ford taurus, ford dealership

Question
Hi im having rotors put in my car tomorrow it's a 2000 Ford Taurus with about 160 thousand km's on it. Should i ask to put new brakes in at this time, also what amount should i pay for and perhaps new brakes if they need them, at a Ford dealership. Please help THANKS

Answer
i would usually recommend new pads when replacing rotors unless current pads are less than 1/2 worn and are a good quality-as far as pricing that is different for areas i am 90 miles n e of atlanta georgia so a brake job here would probably be 30 dollars or more less than one in atlanta with same parts-parts are not all the same we use good quality parts and can't compete with cheap parts and i won't try to you get what you pay for so keep that in mind. good luck.
