Ford Repair: Heater Core For A 2000 Ford Taurus, ford taurus, clockspring

Question
How do i change the heater core on my 2000 ford taurus? i need to know how to remove the old one and install the new one. What parts will i need?

Answer
this is a major job-the whole dash has to come out-a/c evacuated and recharged-this is a 5-6 hour job when you have done several of them-if you want instructions you need to go to alldata.com and sign up for a year subscription it is about 35.00 but will have a lot of info on  your car-including tsb's-repair info-specifications etc. if you don't want to do this check with a local shop that has alldata and see if you can purchase the info-or call me at 706-779-5574 and i will fax you the instructions for $4.00-that may sound like a lot but the subscription to alldata is 190.00 per month for me-paper-ink-electricity and time that's not a bad price.

the only part you will need is a heater core-good quality-(don't skimp because this is a major job)-antifreeze-becareful and follow instructions and when you let the steering column down don't turn your steering wheel several times or you can ruin your clockspring for the airbag.

it would take several pages and quite awhile to type out instructions.
if your sure you want to do this have patience and good luck.
