Ford Repair: Ford 352 V8, ford 352, timing chain

Hi James,
George here again. Well I'm going to change our my timing chain set, to much play. I was checking my vacuum from the carb at idle and it doesn't seem like their is any? It is a 2 barrel Motorcraft. It should be strongest at idle, right unless it is a ported carb? Should I rebuild it? Thanks ,George

I have not had any dang luck rebuilding carb's lately. Their is a part that they no longer supply in the kits. I also do not recommend buying one of those Champion rebuilt carb's from the auto parts store. I don't really know where that leaves you. Just know this, only 1 out of 3 of those carb's is any count. So if you do nuy one, be prepared to take it back a couple of times.
