Ford Repair: 99 escort zx2 wheel bearing???, drive shaft boots, wheel bearing

Question
When turning right at speed, say on an expressway on ramp, there is a very audible noise and some vibration from the front driver side wheel. My guess is a bad wheel bearing, so my question is this. Is there anything else I should look into before buying new parts that could be creating this problem? If it is the wheel bearing, does it just come out and press in or do i need to replace the whole spindle or what? Thanks in advance for your help.

Answer
Lets check the basics before we go for the wheel bearings.  When was the last time you had alignment, as this could cause this viberation.  Then check connecting rods and the drive shaft boots.  The alignment shop can check for most of those items.
