Ford Repair: power windows, common denominator, intermittent problems

Question
i have a 95 explorer xlt and the power windows are working intermiantly. when they dont work the 4wd lights on the dash blink 5 times. they then blink every 5 minutes. the sunroof and outside temp/compass also doesn't work at these times. my mechanic has tried to find it three times with many new parts and switches with no luck.

Answer
is your mechanic actually diagnosing or just guessing i'm not being funny i'm serious intermittent problems are very hard to diagnose sometimes and they will drive you crazy but they can be found-first before replacing any part at the shop we try our best to catch it when it is failing which means running test an exception although maybe not correct is when we suspect and inexpensive part example 10-20 dollars that the part actually is less than the diagnosis would be then i will try a part first-a gem module or bad connection would be a good guess but a wiring diagram showing the common denominator to these items would be a good start grounds/connectors/power supplies etc. what i'm saying is i don't know of a common thing causing this and i'm sure your mechanic with the right test equipment will find  your problem it's just not easy sometimes-i just wanted to make sure your mechanic is not a guy down the street with a toolbox in his/her carport. good luck
