Ford Repair: 1998 ford contour, dayco belts, tensioner pulley

Question
I have a chirping sound that seems to be coming from the water pump. The water pump pulley seems to turn freely with no noise when turned by hand. In the past 3 weeks, Ive had the serpintine belt break 3 times. Could that be caused by the water pump going out. I replaced the tensioner pulley and the serpintine belt greaks again. What do you think is breaking theese belts and should I install new water pump? Thank you for answering.

Answer
only use factory-gates or dayco belts-check all pulleys make sure they turn freely and quit and smooth-when you reinstall the belt look at it from the side and make sure it is straight sometimes when misaligned belt will squeak and wear quicker but breaking is like something is actually locking up-look at all the pulleys for burnt rubber residue if one has it on it it's probably intermittently locking up.
follow up with me if you need to but next time give me engine size.
