Ford Repair: wipers, cougar 2002, timer module

my cougar 2002 intermittant wipers don't work on intermittant.
Is this a motor problem? Can it be anything else?

yes it could be a central timer module-a switch or wiring problem but probably not a motor. this involves testing that could be very involved if you want to do it yourself get a wiring diagram from reputable garage that has alldata or mitchell on demand but offer or be prpared to pay for this info as that software runs about 200 per month plus ink/paper and time and this should be at least worth $5.00
