Ford Repair: 00 Crown Vic Stalling, air control valve, crown vic

Question
Hi, i have a 00 crown vic p71. the problem is my car keeps stalling randomly. the check engine light will flicker the car will start to stall and then the temp light comes on and at that point it will stall. the only way to keep it from stalling is keeping my foot on the gas, while doing this it will rev then kick into a lower gear then when thetemp light turns off it will run fine again. This happens quite a few times a day. it will usually stall out if any type of bump is hit or if i rev it high. and it dosent always start back up it will crank over but sounds like it was out of gas. i checked the fuel presure and i got 0 psi..

Answer
Well, knowing that the fuel pressure was a zero, you may have one of three problems. A clogged fuel filter, bad fuel pump, or faulty ignition switch. The bumps lead me to believe the latter, the ignition switch. Usually when people have this type problem I tell them to clean the throttle body and idle air control valve. Find out two things. If there are any computer trouble codes present. And, if you are getting 12 volts to the fuel pump at the zero fuel pressure condition. You're local parts store can help you with the trouble codes.
