would you happen to know how to get a ignition switch out of a 1993 thunderbird

the ignition switch (not key and lock cylinder) is removed by removing the upper shroud around  steering column by removing i believe four screws from bottom-turn key to run position remove two screws holding switch and remove-install new switch (it should already be in run position) over rod. check and make sure starts and all positions are correct.
