Ford Repair: 2001 Ford Escape A/C, ford escape, freon

Question
When at speeds of 55 mph and higher my wife says that the a/c will start blowing warm air. When I checked it out just in park I can hear the compressor come on when I turn the a/c on. I check the freon level with a gage I purchased at Advance and it was in the green. Please help!

Answer
Unfortunately, a gage won't tell it all. I believe you're A/C needs to be surfaced. Hopefully it isn't the compressor. Do know this, it is a standard for parts warranty purposes to replace all related parts and too have good documentation of all steps. Long story short, parts stores can't stand behind the compressor unless a certified heat and air tech services. It's not them, I used to work at one. It's the manufacturer itself.
