Ford Repair: 02 Taurus Heat & A/C blower motor, splash shield, blower motor

Question
The blower motor for the heat & A/C only works on the high speed setting.

Answer
Water may have entered the blower motor fresh air intake.This could short the blower motor and the resistor.
Ford has a TSB on this issue.
You may need a splash shield installed along with a new right side cowl screen if the one on your car is warped.
