Ford Repair: engine and trans, combustion chamber, modulator valve

Question
1993 ford ranger when it warms up after driving 8 to 10 miles white/bluish smoke out of tailpipe, pinging noise from front of valve cover, and losing trans fluid but no lesk

Answer
The modulator valve on the side of the transmission is defective. It is sending transmission fluid directly into the intake. From there it is dropping into the combustion chamber where it is unsuccessfully being burned, hence the smoke. Replace the valve and that should fix you up. Also, a new set of plugs may be in order. Please, give full description of the vehicle next time, engine size. Let us know if you have any more problems.
