Ford Repair: 2005 Ford Escape, bosch platinum, 2005 ford escape

Poor performance-cannot get over 2000 rpm. Replaced plugs with Bosch Platinum at 102K miles. Air filter is clean and getting good air. Possibly a fuel filter or pump problem?

I need you to describe the time line of you're problem. When did this start, before or after the new plugs? Is the check engine light not on? Can you make it to the parts store? The reason I ask, is if you can make it to you're local parts store, they can read the trouble codes for free. This could save a ton of money. It probably wouldn't hurt to replace the fuel filter, but it's probably not causing you're problem. Several things can cause this. Give me the trouble codes, I won't want what the parts guy tells you they mean, just the number. It will be something like P0301, etc.
