Ford Repair: Ford Expedition stuttering during acceleration, climbing a hill, ford expedition

Hi,
I have a 1998 Ford Expedition, when I press on the gas to accelerate the car makes a hollow like popping noise and stutters as it accelerates.  It is also accelerating extremely slow.  It feels like we are climbing a hill and struggles to go.

If the check engine light is not on, then it will be on soon. Probably on you're way to have the codes read at the parts store. You will need to know the codes. The coil packs are extremely sensitive on you're truck. Long story short, washing under the hood, or really any presence of moisture, such as a large puddle, can take one or worse two of them out.I saw have seen this learned that one the hard way, back when coil packs were twice as much as they are now. I used to call it the 500 dollar tune up. Anyhow, a tune up is probably in order but either way, get the codes read.
