Ford Repair: anti-lock brake on 89 probe stuck, rear brakes, down position

Question
while the car ('89 probe dx) was off, i pulled the e-brake between the driver and passenger seats and then put it back down. after starting the car, i noticed the 'anti-lock' light was on and the car had difficulty moving and turning even though the brake lever was in the down position. after trying to pull and re-release the brake, it still showed it was locked up. is this a major problem or can i trip the brake myself?

Answer
Hello Ian, Sounds like you have a cable(s) frozen and not releasing. You can try to spray rust penetrant on the cables ,move the lever and hope for the best, otherwise you'll have to take apart the rear brakes and release the cables manully. Hope This helps Thanks Tony
