Steering Column Repair: Steering column, ford f 150, salvage yards

What year steering columns can I put on my 1986 ford f250 4x4? I have a 92 ford f-150 steering column but had to make sure if it would work. Just let me know what years i can put on my truck, i plan on going to the junk yard to find one. Thank you for your time.

Hi Matt:

I do not know the interchange years of all the vehicles, but the salvage yard will.  Before you go though, check this site.  You may be able to find what you need or at least gwt more info as to what's available.

It's the website all the salvage yards use when they say "Hang on--let me see if my other yard has it".  Actually it's an online database of all the salvage yards in America.  You can search by part, location or price
