Ford Repair: 94 mustang 3.8 head gasket / water pump, heater hoses, head gasket

Question
I have a 94 mustang with a 3.8 V6 that seems to have another heating / cooling problem. It is over heating and blowing out the rad cap. The strange thing is that it will not make any heat out of the heater, like the water pump is not working- heater lines are cool. Is it the air in the system, or I have heard of pump impellers rusting and coming apart. It had the new head gaskets put in in 1999 or 2000 by Ford on warrenty.

Answer
It could be a couple of things.A water pump is one thing to look at if the heater hoses are not warm.If you indeed have blown water out of the cap,how long did you run the car?Hopefully, you didn't blow the head gasket or cook the rings.I would try simply replacing the thermostat first.
