Ford Repair: 2000 Ford Contour Wont Start/Run, obd2 scanner, duel overhead cam

Question
I have a 2000 Ford Contour with a duel overhead cam four. What can I look for in the way of ignition problems? I've checked the fuel system (as I've heard that seems to be a huge problem on these cars} I changed the fuel filter, and checked to see if the fuel pump was bad, it seems to be working...I can hear it run when key is turned on. I also pulled the fuel line at fuel rail with key on and it shot out a nice strong stream of gas,I then pulled the sparkplugs and they were soaked! The cylinders seemed fuel of gas also. The engine turns over freely and  it tries to hit/fire occassionly.....but it just won't start!

Answer
It sounds like a camshaft or crankshaft sensor. To determine which one it is,you will need a OBD2 scanner.I am going to go out on a limb and assume that the car is not drivable. You may need to do what I call a temporary purchase of a scanner to get the trouble code out of the computer if necessary. Now this is the important part. After you fix the problem, you will need to change those spark plugs again unfortunately. When you get the codes, you can shoot them back to me and I can tell you what they represent,if you like.
