Question am fixing a 2000 ford taurus and the driver side power window is not working, all other windows work? All 4 switches are located on driver side door and the driver side window is the on ly switch not working. Any idea what the problem may be?
Also the driver side power mirror is not working. The passenger power mirror works when adjusted on the same switch.
Also heat/air is only coming out of the defroster - none of the other vents are working ( no matter what flow direction control button I push i.e. floor, panel, automatic, or defroster, the air only comes out from the defroster vents.) just blows from defroster regardless of where the dial is set. It does turn off.
It also feels like the heat does not kick on until I drive it for 25-30 minutes. I took it to a shop about a year ago and they put in a new thermostat. The problem was still there but they told me I needed a new one any way. Brought it back again and they could not figure out the problem.
AnswerHello Mike, 1)power window- check power to switch,check power window motor, . 2)driver mirror- check switch,check mirror motor,probaly switch. 3)defroster- check control head for proper operation and check blend door motor for that operation. 4) heat- check heater core, more than likly restricted and will need to be replaced.
