Ford Repair: 94 Thunderbird cranks but wont start, crank sensor, cam sensor

Question
The T-Bird has fire going to plugs and fuel passing but still fails to turn on. Timing is correct, alternator and starter are good but still won't turn on. Think it might be a fault in crank sensor or cam sensor but not sure. How can I check myself and what else can it be? What is the difference in these two sensors?

Answer
Hello Demetrias, The crank sensor is for the crankshaft reference, tells the computer when it rotates, cam sensor tells the computer what the camshaft is at all times. a poor reference to the computer could allow it not to start. Without out the proper test equip and knowledge it can be hard to figure out. Hope this helps Thanks Tony
